Admission will be free to visitors thanks to a sponsorship by the Department of Environmental Services. Hands-on activities will focus on recycling and repurposing including a composting activity, recycled building challenge and making bracelets from plastic shopping bags. Employees from Environmental Services will be available to share information about recycling options available throughout the community.

The City of Magnolia, WCA Waste, Montgomery County Precinct 2 Recycling Center, and Keep Magnolia Beautiful are partnering to hold a recycling education event.   There will be games, educational booths, and recycling opportunities.  The goal is to increase awareness about how to best prepare recyclables for the City curbside recycling program and to increase awareness of the County drop off recycling center.  We will also promote the local charitable resale shops as a recycling alternative.
