PRIVATE EVENT Students and staff will raise awareness regarding the recycling already available at the school (batteries and electronics, paper, milk cartons). Students can earn RISE tickets for Respecting our planet when they are "caught green-handed" recycling items at school. When a class receives 20 tickets, they will earn a reward determined by them and their teacher. The Woman’s Club of Smithfield will kick-off American Recycling Day by collecting plastic bags for recycling. Team up with us and our sponsor, “Trex,” will donate a high-performance composite bench for the community when we turn in 500 pounds (40,500 bags) or more in a six-month span (Nov. 15 – May 15).
