Repair Cafes in the Hudson Valley

November 18, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
  • This event has passed.

Repair cafes are free community meeting places to bring a beloved but broken item to be repaired…for free. Keeping those items out of the waste stream, sharing skills, building community. The idea started in Amsterdam Holland in 2009. There are now more than 1200 worldwide–and 16 in the Hudson Valley. This is an all-volunteer project. Repairs are done by experts…who are also your neighbor. A lot of stuff gets fixed. People leave very happy.
