PRIVATE EVENT – Kearsley High School

November 22, 2019 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
  • This event has passed.

Kearsley High School in Flint Michigan has been recycling paper for several years.  However, we have not been recycling plastics.  On Friday, November 22nd, the Kearsley High School Community Problem Solving Team, with the support of the Keep Genesee County Beautiful Affiliate, is kicking off an initiative to recycle plastic beverage bottles and cans.  We are adding new recycling bins and encouraging students to sort their refuge before disposal in order to facilitate recycling of plastics and cans.  In addition, high school students have the opportunity to sign the Keep America Beautiful Pledge vowing to make efforts to Learn, Act, and Share with regards to recycling.  We are working to make this an ongoing, sustainable program within our high school.
