Garland’s America Recycles Day Event: FREE Electronics Recycling | Paper Shredding | Clothing Recycling | Cease the Grease

November 2 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

FREE electronics recycling! Paper shredding is also free but limited to Garland residents – must show ID – up to 4 boxes per family.

GISD schools that drop off the most textiles — clothes, shoes, backpacks, baseball caps, hats, pots, pans, purses, and stuffed animals (by weight) — will be awarded $500 for first place, $300 for second place, and $200 for third place. Anyone can donate textiles on behalf of a GISD school — you do not need to be a parent, teacher, or school staff member to participate.

Please also take advantage of the other recycling collection containers at the center and drop off your fats, oils, and grease in sealed containers, and place large metal items in the designated bins.
