Take The Pledge

The national recycling rate has increased every year for the past 30 years.
The current recycling rate is 34.5%.
For America Recycles Day 2016, I pledge to:

Learn. I will find out what materials are collected for recycling in my community.

Act. Reduce my personal waste by recycling. Within the next month, I will recycle more.

Share. In the next month, I will encourage one family member or one friend to take the pledge.

I started a paper, aluminum, plastic drink bottles, and glass drink bottles recycling program at one of our local community theaters. I pick up the recyclables weekly to take to our local recycling facility. It’s a lot of work but all the recyclable items I keep out of the landfill is a wonderful thing, so I don’t complain.
